Tom Cruise has told a German tabloid that he plans to marry Katie Holmes this summer.  The event will take place following the birth of their child, and after the release of Mission Impossible 3 according to the superstar actor.

Tomkat, as the couple is affectionately known, has seen plenty of rumors over the last few months both in favor and against the possibility of marriage.  Many have speculated that the couple was through after a tiff occurred between Cruise and Katie Holmes father during a visit to her hometown.

On a side note, be sure to pick up a copy of the Oscar nominated movie Brokeback Mountain, which is released tonight at midnight.  The movie stars celebrity couple member Heath Ledger.
